Police launch text messaging service for the deaf

A TEST messaging service to enable deaf and hard of hearing people to contact the police has been launched by Hertfordshire Constabulary.
The Constabulary's Contact Centre staff have been trained to use the new system and have been receiving deaf awareness briefings to assist them with delivering the service.
