ACCORDING to media reports Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will fly to Barcelona to broker a deal for striker Samuel Eto'o.

The Evening Standard reported that Levy will open talks with Barca officials over a £27million move, as the club desperately search for a world class replacement for Dimitar Berbatov.

Inter Milan are also said to be keen on Cameroon international Eto'o, and Levy has stepped in quickly to give Tottenham the best chance of securing the 27-year-old forward ahead of the Italian champions.

Spurs will have to match Eto'o's £100,000 a week wage demands but Levy (pictured) appears willing to break the bank for the one-time World Player of the Year runner-up and three-time African Footballer of the Year.
