Shiels turns up the heat at Newport 10km

BISHOP'S Stortford Running Club mebers braved the hot conditions to compete in the Newport 10km race on Sunday.
Liam Sheils completed the undulating course, which was made up almost entirely on track and footpaths, in a time of 44mins 6secs.
The time saw him finish in an impressive eighth position out of a field of 90 runners.
Club members Colin Gauld-Clark and Anne Gauld-Clark clocked 51mins 3secs and 64mins 40secs respectively.
- Meanwhile, at the St Albans 10km on Sunday, club member Scott Pollack achieved 51st place in a field of 500 runners with a time of 42mins 56secs.
