FOOTBALL
NEW Harlow signing Rhys Henry feels that the club will see the best of him because of the style of football under Ryan Kirby,
writes Nick Hodgskin.
Player-boss Kirby likes his side to play the ball on the ground and to keep the ball moving, which Henry believes will suit him perfectly.
The 17-year-old, signed from Southend United on loan for the rest of the season, said: "I think the way the team plays will really help my game and the gaffers style is the way I think football should be played.
"They pass the ball well, get it early to the wingers and since I've been here, create plenty of chances.
"The manager (Steve Tilson at Southend) told me to get out on-loan to start playing against men with the rest of the second years.
"After being with Chesunt, I've come to Harlow and hoping it will be a successful period."
Henry impressed on his debut against Maidstone last week and was rewarded with a first start in the win over Boreham Wood.
The youngster went on to score his first goal for the club in Monday's 2-2 draw with Billericay.
"Since I've been here I've realised how much staying up means to all the lads," said Henry.
"We're playing well, creating chances and we have to start taking more.
"We need to pick up as many points as possible and hopefully we will get out of this situation."
Kirby singled out Henry for praise, describing him as a "real bonus" to have around in his squad.
"I'm so pleased to have him," Kirby said.
"His effort is tireless and his pace is electric and every time he gets the ball he is looking to attack and is a constant threat.
"I can't even begin to tell how much of bonus it is to have him with us for the remainder of the season."
