HARLOW: Recycle and win £100

RECYCLING efforts will land one lucky person a £100 prize.

Harlow Council recycling officers will be in Broad Walk, in Harlow town centre between 10am and 3pm on Sunday (March 30) eager to receive recycling items.

The officers will note the name, address and quantity of recycling, with the person who takes along the most winning £100.

The council requests that people fill average-sized carrier bags with recyclable items. If more than one bag is taken each bag must be full to be a valid entry.

Items accepted include newspapers, magazines, wrapping paper, clean food packaging card, catalogues, packaging boxes (flattened card, no polystyrene), phone directories, "junk" mail and envelopes, books, greeting cards, glass bottles, jars and containers (washed, no lids), aerosol cans, tetra paks, plastic bottles, plastic bottle lids (separate to the bottle) and food and drink cans.

For more details, ring 01279 446655.
